What is chainmaille?
Simply put, chainmaille is the art of weaving together a pattern using various sizes of jump rings. Most people recognize larger pieces such a full maille armor, but we tend to work on a smaller scale with weaves that are less practical for armor and more suited for decorative and elegant jewelry pieces. Though technically different, we also include scalemaille in this categorization and do offer scale work as well.
What do we do?
We offer a variety of handmade jewelry pieces made using various chainmaille weaves and techniques. We feature a variety of pieces from necklaces and bracelets to pendants and earrings in a multitude of sizes and metals. Our goal is to produce affordable pieces that are of high quality and as hypoallergenic as possible. To that end we use high quality aluminum, jewelers’ brass, bronze, and copper as well as precious metals such as sterling silver and gold. We do our best to avoid products which are made of or contain nickel.
We do offer larger scale pieces such as belts, chain shirts, etc. on special order as well as non-jewelry chain- and scalemaille designs such a statuettes, scale bags, and other applications.
